It's not the means but the people with sick criminal minds that kill people. What is not understandable? I'd rather have a gun to defend myself against a criminal than being defenseless because the criminal will have an illegal gun anyway. If this is not understandable either then this posting is pushing an agenda.

Cristian, obviously you don't know USA that well. When CA, FL, IL (just to name a few states) allow any illegal immigrant to find safe harbor without any background checks then what do you expect to happen? Look closer to the statistics as to who or what group of people and the ideologies that are associated with, their socioeconomic status and you will have the answer. As for comparing US to other countries, just look around you and you will see the same if not worst. Try to go to Exarheia... oh I forgot you can't go there. Try to go to Menidi.. Oh I forgot you can't go there because it has become narcotics distribution center. Try to go to EMP, Panteios or Nomiki...Oh I forgot you can't go there because they are full of drug users and violence. Try to go to Pedion of Areos... same picture. Try to go to Syntagma... oh I forgot you can't go there because of Rouvikonas. Perhaps you can't or don't want to see these issues from your apartment in Varkiza.

Did I mention the Albanian, Ukranian and Russian mafia along with the Afganis, Pakistanis and the Turks that are all over the place or I forgot those. They must be starting coming when they heard Tsipras said there are no Sea Borders. I don't know about you but I believe a lot in Lesvos, Xios and several other islands are wishing the Greek Constitution had a 2nd Amemndment. As for Crete they have their own 2nd amendment......

Παρεπιπτοντως η χωρα με το μεγαλητερο ποσοστο οπλοκατοχης αναλογικα με τον πλυθισμο της ειναι η Φιλανδια , η οποια απουσιαζει απο την παραπανω λιστα με νεκρους απο οπλα.
Ο πολιτισμός των Αμερικανών στηριζόταν και στηρίζεται στη βια και μόνο. Απτή εικόνα της κοινωνίας τους, ο κινηματογράφος, βια, σεξ και έγκλημα κυριαρχουν, στην πλειονότητα των ταινιών τους. Απορώ, γιατί οι ψυχολόγοι και οι ψυχίατροι τους, προσπαθούν να εξηγήσουν επιστημονικά, το ''φαινόμενο''των δολοφονικών επιθέσεων εφήβων, κατά των συμμαθητών και δασκάλων τους.
